Te Puna Wai o Waipapa – Hagley College is a vibrant secondary school situated in the centre of Christchurch and draws students from diverse backgrounds, ethnic groupings, age and learning abilities. Te Puna Wai o Waipapa – Hagley College plays an important role in the education of adolescent and adult learners across Ōtautahi. Kaiako Māori – Full-time, fixed term (Covering Parental Leave for Terms 2 and 3, 2024)

Starting 29 April 2024, or by negotiation

Te Puna Wai o Waipapa – Hagley College is seeking a kaiako Māori  who loves working with young people and can develop positive, mana-enhancing relationships with ākonga, whānau, and staff.

We require a fixed term, full-time passionate kaiako who is always looking to improve their practice.

Ideally, we are seeking a kaiako Māori who is able to teach Junior NZC and Senior (NCEA L1) te reo Māori me ōna tikanga and be a registered NZ teacher. It would also be advantageous if you have mātauranga in any additional kaupapa Māori including mahi toi (whakairo, raranga), kapa haka, kī-o-rahi.

This role may include teaching a night class.

NZ Registered Teacher is preferred.
