Musician Stephen Heard (2002-2003)
and Tristan Colenso (2004) Hagley Theatre Company
Stephen Heard (vocals/guitar) and Tristan Colenso (bass guitar) are two members a four-piece Indie Rock band called Clap Clap Riot based in Auckland. In 2008 they won the MTV ‘Kick-start your career’ band competition.The band originated in Canterbury and released their debut EP ‘TV Knows Better’ through RhythMethod in February 2009. Clap Clap Riot have completed two headline tours throughout New Zealand, toured Australia twice and performed at the Big Day Out, Rhythm and Vines and Southern Amp festivals. As part of their prize from winning the ‘Kick-Start your career” competition, MTV Australia televised a live performance from Clap Clap Riot when they performed at ‘The Lair’ alongside Evermore in Sydney, April 2009.

 

Actress – Tania Nolan (2002) Hagley Theatre Company
Tania went on graduate from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School. Tania’s portrayal of Isobel Jones in her debut television series ‘The Hothouse’ earned her a Best Actress nomination in the 2007 NZ Qantas Television Awards. Tania’s screen credits also include several short films, as well as the feature ‘Kissy Kissy’ (NZ International Film Festival 2007) and her international debut role in ‘Underworld 3:Rise of the Lycans’ (2009). ‘When Night Falls’ (2007) was her screen debut.

 

Comedian – Jarred Christmas (1998-1999) Hagley Theatre Company
After leaving Hagley Jarred went on to do Comedy throughout New Zealand and has since gone on to perform all over the world appearing in shows in Canada, Australia and the UK where he now resides.
