Pre Tertiary Art – 13AFN
NCEA Level 2/3

This is a full-time programme (up to 24 hours tuition) that offers a comprehensive range of Art and Design classes for students who are interested in a career in art, design or craft, and who want to continue their studies at the tertiary level. Students will learn creative processes employed by artists and designers in the production of their work. They will develop skills and knowledge in many different media and disciplines. Information on tertiary courses and career options will be provided, and students will be assisted with their applications to university and polytechnic art programmes.

Students have the opportunity to produce a Level 3 portfolio. Students will select up to six courses from the following list of Art programmes:
