This is a course for students wishing to develop creative camera skills, as well as learning the fundamentals of photo manipulation.
Major course components:
• Improve your understanding of your digital camera and how it works.
• Learn the principles of composition and apply them to your picture making.
• Look at and be inspired by a wide range of contemporary photographers’ work.
• Gain Photoshop skills to thoughtfully edit and manipulate your own images.
• Learn to discern the strengths and weaknesses of your photographs and know strategies to improve them.
• Develop a systematic approach to organising your own work, managing time and people.
• Create a series of photographs based on a theme of your own choosing and learn how to present these images as a coherent portfolio.
