Life Drawing A3LIFE

Develop a knowledge of principles and elements of observational drawing using conventional and experimental techniques and processes to produce drawings from life, in a supportive and encouraging environment. Suitable for a range of abilities.

Module 1: Introduction to Life Drawing
• Understand the basic principles of drawing.
• Introduction to a variety of techniques and media.

Module 2: Lessons from the Great Artists
• Understand the works of the great artists in order to learn a variety of techniques.
• Develop skills and gain confidence in figure drawing.

Module 3: Media Use in Life Drawing
• Experiment with a wide range of media.
• Understand the use of colour and meaning in art making.

Module 4: Advanced Techniques in Figure Drawing
• Gain an introduction to print technique – a ‘hands-on’ approach.
• Through experimentation, find your own visual language and style.
• Explore the possibilities of mixed media to enhance existing picture making practices.
