Open Night a Busy Affair!

Our annual Senior College Open Night was held last week, on Thursday 3rd September. The event was a huge success with families and students coming from all over Christchurch to see what we have to offer.

As Brent was away, Acting Principal Ros gave three presentations to our visitors in the packed out library before they moved through to the expo set up to meet subject teachers and discuss Hagley’s various study options.

Our Enrolment Centre staff were there to greet and answer any questions, not to mention taking in the already completed applications!

The café staff were busy making complimentary hot drinks and the School of Cuisine students handed around tasty treats for people to sample.

Our pastoral care and learning support staff did a fantastic job talking to families and students that had questions about their learning and other needs – a personal touch that we know we do well.

Many of the staff and teachers barely caught a break, which was a fantastic sign! With constant questions and in-depth discussions, many came to school on Friday with sore throats and crackly voices from all the talking!

All in all, we felt this was one of our busiest and successful open nights to date. It was great meeting people and seeing how Hagley could work for them.

We hope to see you at an Open Night in the future!
