Alastair looks forward to continuing his role as staff trustee. Being renowned for being vocal at staff meetings, he is not afraid to ask the tough questions. He believes that Hagley has a strong board who are able to perform the governance function effectively. Alastair likes the fact that everyone’s views are heard before a consensus is achieved, ensuring that each board member has the ability to affect change. One issue he is looking forward to working on is the possibility of introducing an energy reduction target and emissions measurement component for the College.
